| One of the major components of the Dunsfold Wings & Wheels event has always been the gathering of military vehicles. It appeared that in 2009, despite a clash with the big Military Vehicle Trust event at Kemble, the gathering was bigger than ever with some 58 vehicles on show ranging from a good few Jeeps (Willys, Ford and Hotchkiss), through the American Dodge, Chevrolet & REOs to some classic British examples of Humber and Bedford. Armoured vehicles weren’t forgotten either with three Ferrets of various marks and a Daimler Armoured car on show.
Prior to the afternoon’s flying display, each owner had the opportunity to take part in the parade in front of the crowd line, some of the owners being accompanied by some of the veterans who had attended the show. |
