| Over the course of the week at Farnborough International 2006, The Red Arrows put in a couple of appearances before attending for the entire public weekend. During the week the skies were a rich blue - not something that the Saturday crowd could say unfortunately following a thunderstorm of immense proportions.
As usual 'The Reds' gave of their best in ideal conditions that allowed them to use their full height display. One of their specialities during 2006 has been flying special formations with all sorts of different aircraft from former Red Arrows Gnats to Spitfires. Two special formations were flown during Farnborough week. The first of these was to celebrate the delivery of the first Hawk to the Bahrain Air Force. However the highlight for most was when they flew a single pass with the mighty Airbus A380 with 'Red 10' (just visible in some of the photographs) acting as aerial cameraship. |
