| Farnborough International 2006 saw the British air show debut of the world's largest airliner, the Airbus A380. This majestic beast displayed with it's 'smaller'(!) sibling, the A340-600. Both aircraft gave very graceful demonstrations which belied their size. It was whilst on the ground during taxying, takeoff and landing that the huge size of the A380 really showed itself and the immense wings stretching way over the grass area at the side of the runway.
